The Brian Forgione Foundation is dedicated to doing much in Brian's memory; supporting those affected by cancer that include commitments to the American Cancer Society, Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA, Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House and Geisinger Hospital. A Continued Partnership with Geisinger Health Foundation

In 2020, the Foundation proudly announced a new partnership with the Geisinger Health Foundation, donating $12,000 in over five years to support Geisinger’s Classroom Connect program. This innovative initiative helps pediatric cancer patients stay engaged with their education and classmates by providing iPads and other cutting-edge technology that bridges the gap between hospital rooms and classrooms. The program not only fosters academic continuity but also nurtures emotional well-being during treatment. This partnership reflects the Foundation’s deep commitment to supporting children and families facing medical challenges. Through Classroom Connect, young patients are reminded they’re not alone—and that learning, friendship, and hope remain within reach.

American Cancer Society Partnership Continues

The Foundation proudly maintains a long-standing partnership with Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA, committing $8,500 annually as the official Suits and Sneakers sponsor for the program’s seasonal events. Over more than a decade, this steadfast support has resulted in more than $110,000 in donations to the American Cancer Society, underscoring the Foundation’s deep-rooted commitment to the fight against cancer. This collaboration not only amplifies awareness but also brings communities together through the unifying power of sports and philanthropy. The importance of the American Cancer Society to the Foundation’s mission is profound—fueling hope, research, and vital support services for countless families. A Home-Away-From-Home with Ronald McDonald House

The Foundation proudly contributes a minimum of $2,000 annually to the Ronald McDonald House, bringing its total support to over $25,000 donations since 2013. This ongoing commitment reflects the Foundation’s dedication to providing comfort and care to families during challenging medical journeys. Beyond financial support, the Foundation continues to demonstrate leadership by serving on the Ronald McDonald House Board of Associates—helping to guide and strengthen the organization's mission. Together, these efforts ensure that families have a home away from home when they need it most.

Supporting Make-A-Wish

The Foundation remains deeply committed to Make-A-Wish and its mission to bring joy and hope to children facing life-threatening illnesses. Since 2013, this heartfelt partnership has helped transform wishes into unforgettable moments for deserving young individuals—moments that lift spirits and create lasting memories. Through continued collaboration, the Foundation has proudly contributed over $45,000 in donations to Make-A-Wish, helping to turn dreams into reality for children and their families. Supporting the Local Community

Since 2010, the Foundation has proudly participated in the Adopt-A-Family Christmas program, bringing warmth and joy to families in need across the region. By providing essential winter clothing, toys, and holiday cheer, the Foundation helps ensure that every child feels the magic of the season. To date, more than $3,000 donated to support this heartfelt initiative, reflecting the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to uplifting local families during the holidays.

The Foundation has proudly served as a Premier Sponsor of the Bill Howerton Strike Out Cancer Weekend since 2011 —an inspiring event that blends Brian’s love of baseball with a powerful mission to raise cancer awareness. This annual tradition brings together athletes, families, and community members in a shared effort to support cancer research and advocacy.
